Day 20: Back to Tokyo
After nearly 3 weeks in the wonderous Nihon, it was time to take one last look. I had to be back in Tokyo to be near the airport, plus it was my new favourite city in the world by this point.
Cherry blossom season had come early, and was still in fine form when I returned to the city. I decided on Shinjuku Gyoen, seeing as it was in the buzzy location of Shinjuku where I was staying, and it is one of the most highly rated for on the sakura-scale.
It didn’t disappoint! Photo dump:
Lastly, I wanted to do the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, to see the city from high up. Not as high up as Tokyo Tower or Tokyo Skytree, but it is free. Somehow it took me an amazingly long time to find it. There are a lot of tall buildings in Shinjuku dang it!
You wait for the one lift to take you up to the top floor, and at around 260 meters you see this.
Bye bye Tokyo. 私はあなたを愛して!
